This policy explains what personal information Kristen Fagan ("I," "me") collects through kristenfagan.com, how I use it, and the choices you have. It covers my website, my newsletter (the MUSE-LETTER), free resources, 1:1 creativity guide program, workshops, retreats, and my monthly membership.

By using this site or sharing your information with me, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Information I collect:

I collect the information you choose to share with me, plus basic technical data about how you use the site.

• Contact details: your name and email address when you subscribe to the MUSE-LETTER, request a free resource like the Paint Freedom tutorial, or join a workshop, retreat, or membership.

• Messages: anything you send me by email, through the contact form, or in a booking request for a free clarity session.

• Creativity Guide program information: details you share during a clarity session, coaching sessions, workshops, or check-ins, such as your creative goals and challenges.

• Payment information: billing details when you purchase a program, kit, or membership. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor, and I don't store your full card number.

• Website usage data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived at the site, collected through cookies and similar tools.

• Social media interactions: if you comment on, message, or follow my accounts on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube, I can see what you share there, subject to each platform's own settings.

How I use your information:

I use your information to run my creative work and to support you, and for nothing unrelated to that.

• Deliver the programs, workshops, retreats, memberships, and resources you sign up for.

• Schedule sessions, answer your questions, and stay in touch about your experience.

• Send you the MUSE-LETTER and other emails you've asked for (see "Email and the MUSE-LETTER" below).

• Process payments and send receipts.

• Understand how people use the site so I can improve it.

• Keep the site secure, prevent misuse, and meet legal and tax obligations.

How I share your information:

I don't sell or rent your personal information. I share it only with the services that help me run my business, and when the law requires it.

• Service providers: my website and email platform (systeme.io and Mailchimp), payment processors (PayPal), and tools for scheduling and video sessions (Zoom). They may use your information only to provide their service to me, under their own privacy policies.

• Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of myself or others.

• Confidentiality: what you share in creativity guide sessions stays between us, except where the law requires disclosure or there is a risk of serious harm to you or someone else.

• Testimonials: I post your name or words on my site or social media only with your permission.

Cookies and analytics:

This site uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device, to make the site work and to understand how visitors use it. My website platform may set cookies for things like page performance and forms. (Google Analytics or Google Forms)

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site, such as signup forms, may not work as expected.

Email and the MUSE-LETTER:

You can unsubscribe from my emails at any time, using the link at the bottom of every message or by contacting me.

When you subscribe to the MUSE-LETTER or request a free resource, you're agreeing to receive emails from me about creativity, art-making, free tutorials, and my programs, workshops, retreats, and membership. I'll never add you to my list without your permission, and I don't share my email list with other businesses.

If you've signed up for a program or made a purchase, I may still send you essential messages about it, such as receipts, schedules, and updates, even if you've unsubscribed from marketing emails.

Third-party platforms and links:

My site links to platforms I don't control, including Instagram, Facebook, Redbubble, Etsy and YouTube, and each has its own privacy policy. I'm not responsible for how they collect or use your information, so please read their policies before sharing anything.

If you join my Facebook group, membership or comment on my videos or posts, what you share may be visible to other members or the public, depending on the platform's settings. Please share only what you're comfortable with others seeing.

Your choices and rights:

You're in control of your information, and you can contact me at any time to use these choices:

• Ask what personal information I hold about you.

• Ask me to correct information that's wrong.

• Ask me to delete your information, or to stop using it.

• Unsubscribe from emails, as described above.

Depending on where you live, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional legal rights, including receiving a copy of your information and objecting to how it's used. I'll respond to your request within a reasonable time, and within any deadline the law sets. I may need to confirm your identity first, and I may keep information I'm legally required to retain, such as financial records.

Data retention and security:

I keep your information only as long as I need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. Email subscribers stay on my list until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete your information. Coaching and billing records are kept as long as needed to deliver the program and meet tax and legal requirements.

I use reputable platforms that have their own security protections, and I take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, though, so I can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy:

This site and my programs are for adults, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets a higher age. If you believe a child has given me their information, please contact me and I'll delete it.

Changes to this policy and contact:

I may update this policy as my business or the law changes. When I do, I'll post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, I'll let my email subscribers know.
