Kerry and I I recently sat down with Susan Kricun on her podcast Love From the Inside Out for a conversation about creativity. Not the kind that requires talent or a fine art degree, but the kind that lives in all of us and simply gets buried under busyness, perfectionism, and the pressure to get things "right."
We had such a fun conversation with Susan about something that means so much to us: creativity and what can happen when we give ourselves permission to reconnect with it.
We talked about creativity as self-care, building confidence through the creative process, quieting the inner critic, and letting go of the idea that you have to be “good” at something for it to be worthwhile.
If you’ve been feeling disconnected from your creative side, or convinced you’re just “not creative," I hope you’ll listen.

This episode is really an invitation to shift the question from "Is this good?" to "How did that feel?" We talk about:
Creativity as a form of self-care, not another to-do
How movement, mindfulness, and getting into your body can quiet the noise in your head
The freedom in knowing you can always paint over it, change direction, or start again
How creating helps you rediscover what you actually like, want, and feel drawn to
Why creativity extends far beyond painting and drawing — into how you dress, cook, move, and live
At the heart of this conversation is a belief I hold close: we are all artists of our lives. Creativity isn't a talent some people have and others don't — it's a way of paying attention, of choosing presence over perfection, of coming home to yourself.
If you've ever felt disconnected from your own creativity — or just want simple ways to reconnect without adding one more thing to your plate — this episode is for you.
If this conversation gave you something to think about, share it with someone who might need the reminder that her creative self hasn’t disappeared. She may just need a little space to find her way back to it.
